Rochester City Council to consider two TIF districts for $13.8M in new housing projects.

The Rochester City Council will consider creating two new Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Districts to support housing projects. The first TIF would provide $800,000 for 201 new homes in Prairie Ridge with income restrictions. The second TIF would offer $13 million for a downtown project, including a 14-story tower with 240 market-rate units and a four-story building with 76 affordable units. Both proposals will be reviewed after public hearings.
