Indian stock market surges; top firms like TCS and HDFC Bank see significant valuation increases.

The combined market valuation of six of India's top firms, including TCS and HDFC Bank, rose by ₹2.03 lakh crore last week, reflecting a positive trend in the Indian stock market. The BSE benchmark climbed 2.38%, and the NSE Nifty increased by 2.26%. TCS and HDFC Bank, which saw significant gains, led the market surge. Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel, LIC, ITC, and Hindustan Unilever experienced declines in their market valuations. Reliance Industries remained the most valuable firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, State Bank of India, LIC, ITC, and Hindustan Unilever.
