Matthews, who made his debut in 2009, has scored 8,006 runs in 116 Tests, averaging 45.23 with 16 centuries and 44 fifties. In the same match, South Africa scored 358 runs, with Kyle Verreynne scoring 105, while Sri Lanka ended the day in a strong position.
