Nova Scotia's new pharmacy licensing program rapidly certifies international pharmacists, attracting over 100 applications.

A streamlined licensing program launched by the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists has attracted over 100 applications from pharmacists in the US, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. The program, enabled by the Patient Access to Care Act, waives the national licensing exam and internship period, allowing 32 pharmacists to receive their licenses so far. The program reduces wait times from years to weeks and aims to attract more healthcare professionals to the province.
