Five-year-old Amber McRae, from Scotland, is spending Christmas at home after surviving a life-threatening condition that required 29 surgeries. Amber battled spina bifida and hydrocephalus, undergoing her final skull expansion surgery this year. Her family, supported by the charity Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland), is now backing the organization’s Christmas Appeal to aid other affected families.
