Samvardhana Motherson International, an Indian auto parts company, plans to acquire a 95% stake in Japanese component maker Atsumitec for about $57 million. The deal supports SAMIL's global expansion and diversification goals. Atsumitec, founded in 1949, specializes in chassis and transmission parts. Honda Motor will retain a 5% stake. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the first quarter of the next fiscal year.
