Malaysia's Attorney General rejects parents' request to drop neglect charges against them for their autistic child.

The Attorney General's Chambers in Malaysia has rejected a request from the parents of autistic child Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin to drop charges of neglect. Zaim Ikhwan Zahari and Ismanira Abdul Manaf pleaded not guilty to the charge, which could result in a fine of up to MYR50,000, a jail term of up to 20 years, or both if they are convicted. The case was heard in the Sessions Court in Petaling Jaya.
