Laurus Labs secures $14.2M investment to expand bio-manufacturing and develop new products.
Laurus Labs, an Indian pharmaceutical company, has secured a ₹120 crore ($14.2 million) equity investment for its subsidiary Laurus Bio from venture capital firms Eight Roads Ventures and F-Prime Capital. The funds will be used to expand fermentation-based manufacturing capabilities and develop new products. Post-investment, Laurus Labs, Eight Roads Ventures, and Laurus Bio promoters will hold 75%, 14%, and 9% stakes, respectively.
