India's Supreme Court reviews protections for sexual harassment committee members in private firms.

The Supreme Court of India is examining a plea to protect the service conditions of members of Internal Complaints Committees (ICC) in private workplaces. Established under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013, these committees investigate sexual harassment complaints. The petitioners argue that ICC members in private sectors lack protection, risking termination if they rule against senior management. The court has sought responses from relevant ministries and plans to hear the case on January 24, 2025.
