India has launched 'Anna Chakra', a tool to optimize its food supply chain, aiming to streamline foodgrain distribution to 4.37 lakh shops and 6,700 warehouses, benefiting over 81 crore citizens. Developed with the World Food Programme and IIT-Delhi, it uses advanced algorithms and integrates with railway systems, potentially saving Rs 250 crore annually. The minister also introduced the SCAN portal to simplify food subsidy claims for states.
