FII outflows in India sharply declined in November, turning to net inflows by month's end.

In November 2024, Foreign Institutional Investor (FII) outflows in India significantly reduced to Rs182 billion (USD 2.2 billion) compared to Rs919 billion (USD 10.9 billion) in October. Despite initial selling, FIIs turned net buyers by the end of the month, with net inflows of Rs52.6 billion (USD 619 million). FII shareholding in Indian equities increased slightly to 16.1%, and Assets under Custody (AUC) improved to Rs71.9 trillion. Sectors like IT, BFSI, and real estate attracted significant inflows, while auto and oil & gas saw outflows.
