China introduces 20% price preference for domestically made products in government purchases.
China’s Ministry of Finance announced a new policy granting a 20% price preference in government procurement for products made in China, including those manufactured by foreign-funded companies. The policy aims to create a level playing field and promote a unified, competitive market. To benefit, products must be entirely made in China. Public comments are accepted until January 4, 2025.
