Australian TV icon and model Maggie Tabberer, 87, has died, leaving a legacy in fashion and media.

Australian television icon and first supermodel Maggie Tabberer, who won two Gold Logie Awards, has passed away at age 87. Born in Adelaide in 1936, Tabberer began her modeling career as a teenager and was discovered by photographer Helmut Newton at 23. She later hosted her own daily chat show, launched a plus-size clothing label, Maggie T, and served as fashion editor of the Australian Women's Weekly for 15 years. She is survived by her daughters Brooke and Amanda.
