Two Wisconsin colleges get $3M grant to help manufacturers save energy and train workers.

Two Wisconsin technical colleges have received a $3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to support local manufacturers. The Wisconsin Energy Partnership (WEP) project aims to save $4.88 million in energy costs, reduce energy use by 19.5 million kilowatt hours, and promote cleaner energy practices. Over three years, the project will conduct 30 energy assessments, train 90 students, and upskill 200 workers. It also focuses on increasing participation of women and underrepresented groups in energy careers.
