Stellantis and Zeta Energy partner to develop cheaper, faster-charging lithium-sulfur EV batteries by 2030.
Stellantis, a major carmaker, and Zeta Energy have teamed up to develop lithium-sulfur batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) by 2030. These batteries could cost less than half as much per kWh as current lithium-ion batteries and charge up to 50% faster. They aim to use existing manufacturing tech and a domestic supply chain, potentially reducing costs and improving convenience for EV owners.
