Serica Energy cuts 2024 oil production forecast due to technical issues at North Sea vessel.

UK oil and gas company Serica Energy has reduced its 2024 production forecast due to technical issues at the Triton FPSO vessel in the North Sea. The company now expects to produce between 35,000 to 36,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, down from 37,000. The suspension is caused by problems with the gas compressor and its seal, which are being addressed by operator Dana Petroleum. Repairs are expected to take two to four weeks, with production resuming in early 2025.
