McKinsey Africa will pay over $122 million to resolve a US Justice Department investigation into bribes paid to South African officials to secure contracts between 2012 and 2016. The company made $85 million in profits during this period. McKinsey Africa cooperated with authorities and fired a senior manager who pleaded guilty. They also agreed to a deferred prosecution deal with the Justice Department.
