A District Reserve Guard officer was killed while battling Naxalites in Chhattisgarh, India.
A head constable of the District Reserve Guard, Birendra Kumar Sori, was killed in a clash with Naxalites during an anti-Naxal operation in the forest area of Narayanpur district, Chhattisgarh. Sori, who had been serving since 2010, died from injuries sustained in the exchange of fire. The operation, involving the DRG and Border Security Force, continues in the region. The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister emphasized the state's commitment to reducing Naxalism and noted progress in the Bastar region.
