Colombian Finance Minister resigns over corruption allegations involving disaster funds.
Colombian Finance Minister Ricardo Bonilla resigned amid a corruption scandal involving misdirection of funds from the national disaster agency. President Gustavo Petro does not believe Bonilla is guilty but expects him to step down to focus on his defense. This is the second finance minister to leave Petro's government since August 2022. A recent survey shows 74% of Colombians expect more corruption scandals in the next six months.
