The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Hamilton intercepted over 16,100 pounds of cocaine, valued at about $182.8 million, in the Eastern Pacific Ocean off South and Central America.
The operation, which lasted three-and-a-half months, also led to the arrest of six suspected smugglers, who were transferred to federal custody for prosecution.
The drugs were offloaded at Port Everglades, Florida.
