Supreme Court gives Maharashtra two weeks to submit documents for advocate Surendra Gadling's bail hearing.

The Supreme Court has given the Maharashtra government two weeks to submit additional documents for the bail hearing of advocate Surendra Gadling, who is accused of aiding Maoists and conspiring in the 2016 arson of the Surjagarh iron ore mine. Gadling has been in jail for nearly six years and faces charges under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and the Indian Penal Code. The court deferred the bail hearing until December 18 after the state requested more time to translate documents.
