School principal and brother-in-law accused of $1.4M fraud via false invoices in NSW.
A school principal and his brother-in-law have been arrested for a $1.4 million fraud scheme against the NSW Department of Education. Rabieh Gharibeh and Ahmed Charchouh are accused of mismanaging funds intended for school maintenance through fraudulent invoices between 2022 and 2024. The pair submitted 86 false invoices and are charged with over 60 offenses including fraud and corruption. They are expected to appear in Bankstown Local Court.
