Paratus Botswana has begun constructing a new fiber route, the SADC Highway, connecting Gaborone in Botswana to Livingstone in Zambia via Zimbabwe.
The first section, about 500km long, is due for completion in February 2025.
This project aims to enhance rural network coverage and provide up to 11 terabits of capacity, offering lower costs and higher speeds.
It is part of Paratus Group's Southern Continental Agenda and is expected to boost economic growth in the region.
