Security forces in Aku, Okigwe Council Area of Imo State, Nigeria, have carried out a successful operation targeting suspected members of IPOB, a banned group. The operation, launched on November 29, led to the displacement of a key IPOB leader, Ifeanyi Okorienta. State security officials urged residents to continue providing intelligence to help maintain peace in the area. Authorities assured residents they can return home safely for the holidays.
