Nigerian Air Force expands fleet with 63 new aircraft, plans more acquisitions in 2025.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has significantly expanded its fleet, acquiring 63 new aircraft over the last three years, with plans for additional deliveries by year-end and 64 more in 2025. The acquisitions include various types like T-129 helicopters and AW-109 Trekker helicopters. NAF Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, highlighted the force's operational success, completing 8,665 missions in 9,928 sorties over 15,915 flying hours between June 2023 and September 2024.
