New study shows brain stimulation can significantly improve symptoms in schizophrenia patients.
A new study from Fujita Health University found that intermittent theta-burst stimulation (iTBS) over a specific part of the brain could significantly improve symptoms in people with schizophrenia, including negative, depressive, anxiety, and cognitive symptoms.
The research analyzed 30 clinical trials with 1,424 participants and suggests iTBS is more effective than sham treatments.
Researchers plan further studies for more detailed insights.
