Iranian Nobel Peace laureate Narges Mohammadi, imprisoned since 2021 for her activism against capital punishment and mandatory hijab, has been temporarily released for three weeks on medical grounds following a tumor removal surgery. Her lawyer, Mostafa Nili, announced the release, which was advised by doctors. Mohammadi's family and supporters call for an extension or unconditional release, citing the inadequacy of the three-week leave for her recovery.
