India faces over 100,000 vacancies in its Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles.

Over 100,000 positions are vacant in India's Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Assam Rifles (AR), as reported to the Rajya Sabha. The government has created 71,231 new posts in the last five years and is working to fill vacancies through various recruitment channels. Efforts include reducing medical exam times and lowering eligibility criteria for constable positions. Additionally, financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh is provided to families of martyred personnel.
