Poll shows half of rural voters trust Labour less over new farm inheritance tax.

A recent poll by the Country Land and Business Association (CLA) shows that half of rural voters trust Labour less after the party imposed a 20% inheritance tax on some farms. The CLA's president, Victoria Vyvyan, argues that this tax threatens rural business viability. Among Labour voters in rural areas, 48% remain satisfied, but 23% are now unhappy. The poll also indicates that 57% of respondents trust Labour less due to this decision, and 61% feel the party is breaking its promise to support rural communities. The government has insisted it will not reverse the tax changes despite farmer protests.
