Pakistan plans to block terrorist group accounts on social media to curb anti-state content.

The Pakistani government plans to block social media accounts of terrorist groups in a move announced by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will collaborate with the National Counter-Terrorism Authority (Nacta) and provincial authorities to implement these measures. A joint task force has been created to identify and block accounts spreading anti-state content, with 924 accounts already identified and 312 blocked so far. The government also aims to strengthen police and frontier forces with modern technology and establish a National Fusion Center to improve coordination.
