Jamaican soldier Garrick Lewis and accomplice charged in $47M bank phishing scam.

A Jamaica Defence Force soldier, Garrick Lewis, 25, has been charged over a $47 million phishing scam targeting the National Commercial Bank (NCB). Lewis faces multiple charges including acquiring and engaging in transactions with criminal property. His alleged accomplice, Romemone Thompson, 33, was also charged. The scam involved illegally accessing and transferring funds from multiple NCB accounts between April and June 2022. MOCA is seeking additional information about the case.
