India's construction sector for industry and logistics is booming, growing over 60M sq ft annually, despite rising costs.

India's industrial and logistics construction sector is expected to grow past 60 million square feet annually in the next few years, fueled by urbanization and economic growth. Construction costs for manufacturing and Grade-A warehousing rose between 3.4% to 6.7% and 4.8% to 6.7% from H1 2020 to H1 2024, due to higher material and labor costs. Despite these increases, India remains cost-competitive compared to developed nations like the US and UK. The sector's growth is supported by government policies and increased demand in industries like FMCG, electronics, and EVs.
