India's Ayush sector grew to $43.4B in 2023, expanding healthcare access and global partnerships.
The Ministry of Ayush in India has seen significant growth since 2014, with the market reaching $43.4 billion in 2023, up from $2.85 billion. Exports nearly doubled to $2.16 billion. The ministry expanded healthcare infrastructure to include over 755,000 practitioners, 886 undergraduate and 251 postgraduate colleges, 3,844 hospitals, and 36,848 dispensaries. Digital initiatives like Ayush Grid and e-Sanjeevani telemedicine have improved healthcare access in remote areas. The ministry has also signed MoUs with over 103 countries to promote traditional medicine globally.
