Indian Supreme Court orders compliance with 2013 anti-sexual harassment law by March 2025.

The Indian Supreme Court has ordered all states and union territories to set up internal complaints committees (ICCs) in government departments to comply with the 2013 Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act. The court set a March 31, 2025, deadline for full compliance and mandated the appointment of district officers by December 31, 2024, and local complaints committees by January 31, 2025. These measures aim to address serious enforcement gaps noted in the Act's implementation.
