The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in India conducted raids across multiple private medical colleges in West Bengal, targeting alleged corruption in admissions under the NRI quota. These raids, also conducted in other parts of India, involve accusations of admitting ineligible students through fake certificates and bribery, impacting 28 colleges nationwide. The investigation was triggered by complaints of irregularities, including the involvement of senior officials in the State Health Department.
