Global poll shows half support Korean unification, with most seeing denuclearization as key.
A recent poll by the Korea Institute for National Unification and Gallup Korea found that about half of participants from eight countries, including the US, believe South and North Korea should unify. Most see North Korea giving up nuclear weapons as necessary for unification. Around 48% think the unified Korea should follow South Korea's democracy, and 63% view North Korea's nuclear weapons as a threat.
