China's air cargo volume hit a record high in 2021, driven by industrial growth and e-commerce.

China's air cargo volume reached a record high in October 2021, with a 19.3% increase in cargo and mail handled between January and October compared to the same period in 2019. International routes saw a 48.5% jump. The growth is attributed to China's industrial transformation, Belt and Road cooperation, and cross-border e-commerce expansion. The Civil Aviation Administration of China plans to improve air traffic rights allocation and logistics efficiency.
