Beverley Festival of Christmas cancels reindeer parade due to livestock disease outbreak.

The Beverley Festival of Christmas cancelled its reindeer parade due to a Bluetongue disease outbreak in East Yorkshire, which affects livestock. Despite the cancellation, the festival will still feature Santa, a live ice carving, and over 125 stalls with food, drinks, and gifts. Bluetongue is a viral disease spread by midges, causing symptoms like lameness and stiffness in animals but posing no risk to humans.
