Art Cashin, a legendary Wall Street figure and longtime CNBC contributor, has died at 83.
Art Cashin, a 83-year-old Wall Street veteran and UBS director of floor operations at the New York Stock Exchange, has passed away.
Known as "Wall Street's Walter Cronkite," Cashin was a regular on CNBC for over 25 years and authored the widely read "Cashin's Comments" daily newsletter.
He began his career at Thomson McKinnon in 1959 and became a NYSE member in 1964.
Cashin was also key in managing the NYSE Fallen Heroes Fund, supporting families of first responders.
