The African Development Bank has approved a $170 million loan for Egypt’s largest wind energy project, the 1.1 GW Suez Wind Project, costing $1.1 billion. This project, which will generate 4,111 GWh annually, aims to supply clean energy to over a million households while reducing CO2 emissions by about 1.71 million tons yearly. It aligns with the bank's strategy to promote renewable energy in Africa.
