Starting 2025, Singapore restaurants can allow pets in outdoor areas without a special license.

Starting January 1, 2025, restaurants in Singapore can allow pets in their outdoor dining areas without needing a special license, per the Singapore Food Agency (SFA). This change affects about 40 food businesses yearly, aiming to expand dining options while maintaining food safety. Pets are still banned in enclosed areas and hawker centers. Restaurants serving pet food will still require a pet café license due to cross-contamination risks.
