Researchers create tiny leopard-inspired robot that runs faster than cockroaches for rescue missions.

Researchers at Beihang University have created a 2-cm long, less than 2-gram robot named BHMbot, inspired by leopard movements, which can run faster than cockroaches and navigate tight spaces. This biomimetic design allows it to be useful in disaster search and rescue and mechanical equipment inspection. The team aims to eventually develop flapping-wing micro-drones resembling bees.
