Police shot a carjacking suspect armed with a knife and bottle after his arrest in Vancouver; he's now hospitalized.

In Vancouver, a carjacking suspect, allegedly armed with a knife and a broken glass bottle, was shot by police during his arrest after a 9-1-1 call from a security guard whose vehicle was stolen. Found 25 minutes later, the suspect is now in hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm and faces charges for robbery, weapons, and driving offenses. The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. has been notified about the officer-involved shooting.
