Panama cancels registrations of ships sanctioned by the UK to protect its maritime reputation.

Panama has begun the process of canceling the registration of six Panamanian-flagged ships that were added to the UK's sanctions list in November. This action, taken under Executive Decree 512, aims to protect the reputation of the Panamanian flag and avoid penalties linked to sanctioned vessels. Since October, Panama has canceled the registration of three ships and is in the process of canceling eight others.
