NSW tests glow-in-the-dark road markings to reduce nighttime accidents on dangerous Bulli Pass.

Transport for NSW is testing glow-in-the-dark road markings at Bulli Pass, a dangerous hairpin bend with frequent near-misses after dark. The photoluminescent paint absorbs sunlight and glows at night, improving visibility in poor weather and where lighting is impractical. If successful during the six-month trial, the technology may be rolled out across NSW. NSW Roads Minister John Graham sees it as a potential solution to reduce nighttime accidents.
