New Zealand kiwifruit firm and its director fined $100,000 for underpaying migrant workers.

A New Zealand kiwifruit labor company, Asad Horticulture Limited, and its director, Mohammad Asaduzzaman, were fined $100,000 for underpaying three temporary visa workers. The company must pay $70,000 and Asaduzzaman $30,000 for breaching employment standards, including holiday pay arrears. The penalties will be paid in quarterly $5,000 installments. The company has already paid $45,170.13 in arrears to the affected employees.
