Japanese atomic bomb survivors travel to Oslo to collect Nobel Peace Prize after fundraising.

A 30-member delegation from Nihon Hidankyo, a Japanese group of atomic bomb survivors, will travel to Oslo to collect their Nobel Peace Prize after raising over 36 million yen ($240,000) via a crowd-funding campaign. The group was awarded the prize for its efforts to promote a world without nuclear weapons and for sharing witness accounts of the devastating impacts of nuclear bombs. The travel costs exceeded the Nobel Committee's provided funds, necessitating the fundraising effort. The delegation includes co-chair Terumi Tanaka, who witnessed the Nagasaki bombing as a child.
