Gas prices in South Carolina fell to $2.71 per gallon, with national averages also dropping.

South Carolina's gas prices dropped by 2.5 cents per gallon last week, with the state's average now at $2.71, down 6.8 cents from last month and 18.4 cents from last year. Nationally, prices fell by 0.6 cents to $3.00 per gallon. GasBuddy predicts further declines in most areas through the holiday shopping season, with over 100,000 stations expected to offer gas for $2.99 or less. Diesel prices, however, rose by 1.1 cents to $3.514 per gallon.
