CNOOC begins production at a new oilfield off China's coast, aiming for 20,600 barrels daily by 2027.

CNOOC Limited has started production at its Huizhou 26-6 Oilfield in the Pearl River Mouth Basin, with an average water depth of 110 meters. The project includes a new intelligent drilling platform and a modified FPSO, planned to produce up to 20,600 barrels of oil equivalent daily by 2027. It is CNOOC's first deep buried hill reservoir project in the South China Sea, aiming to boost the economic and social development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
