China launched its first overseas atmospheric station in Antarctica to monitor climate change.

China's first overseas atmospheric background station, the Zhongshan National Atmospheric Background Station, began operating in Antarctica on Sunday. The station will monitor atmospheric components to provide crucial data for global climate change research. It measures various meteorological elements like ozone and aerosol, offering unique geographical insights. China already has nine similar stations and ten more are in trial observation phases.
